More protection of the environment! More social justice!
That’s what the Association of Ethical Shareholders has been fighting for in the general assemblies of German companies for 20 years. They are concerned about maintaining jobs as well as apprenticeship training positions, they care for the protection of the environment and the production of eco-friendly products. Societal restrictions on individual property rights are an issue the Ethical Shareholders fight for as well, and they criticize the constraint of the shareholder value.
The German NGO seated in the city of Cologne unites more than 30 societal and environmental organizations. It is supported mainly by small shareholders, all of whom demand the stopping of the entanglement of companies in the production of weapons, are against support of atomic energy and environmentally harmful deals.

A centre for social and environmental organizations and small shareholders
The Association of Ethical Shareholders focus on the 30 corporations listed in the German index of stocks (DAX, so-called DAX-30-companies). Ethical Shareholders organize the common campaigns of their member organizations. They are a central point for small shareholders, who want their shares to be disposed of in a responsible way. Around 5000 small shareholders have delegated their proxy rights to the umbrella organization, in order to consciously assume their social and ecological responsibility.
